Four of the eight men sought by the NYPD for questioning in the Kenyatta Cotterell stabbing are pictured as wearing Yankee caps, and another is wearing what looks like a Bronx Bombers lid.
Have they tried looking for these guys at Yankee Stadium? Cops Thursday released pictures of eight men wanted for questioning in a Manhattan nightclub stabbing - and half of them are making the same fashion statement. Four are styling in Yankee caps and another is wearing what looks like a Bronx Bombers lid. Police officials would say only that the gallery of pics was obtained through investigative work. Cops say these men - seven 20-somethings and an out-of-place older guy - are people of interest in the killing of Kenyatta Cotterell, 22, outside midtown hotspot China Club on Jan. 23. Cotterell and two others were knifed in a wild brawl outside the W. 47th St. club after Cotterell's pal made an unwanted advance at another man's girl. Cops arrested a Brooklyn man, Charles Davy, 24, on Feb. 1 after surveillance-camera footage appeared to show him making what a cop source described as "stabbing-type motions" at Cotterell. Davies was charged with murder and held for 18 days, but he was released when a grand jury refused to indict him. Tipsters can make a confidential call to the NYPD's Crime Stoppers phone at 800-577-TIPS. Tips can also be text-messaged to 274637 then enter TIP577.
